The Long and Winding Road

Gentle readers, I apologize for my absence in the last few weeks. I have a very good reason, I assure you.

Three weeks ago, I fell down the stairs in my building and sprained my ankle. I haven't felt much like blogging. But, being forced to stay at home has given me the opportunity to get a lot of knitting done. I have finished the Icarus shawl! unfortunately, I've been unable to block because of the the crutches I have to use to get around.

I have also finished the Sophie top. Photos to come soon!

Oh no! WHAT A DRAG! Hope you feel better soon. Chocolate and Netflix helps. Oh, yeah, knitting too.

Oh man, that's sucks! Looks like quite a boot you have there. The shawl looks wonderful -- is it still for your mama?

How to bad! I hope you are all healed soon! At least you have had time to knit. Icarus looks wonderful; I bet you can't wait to block it.

Just awful! Sounds like a bad sprain. I do hope that you're soon feeling better. Isn't it great that the internet can keep you supplied with all the fiber you'll need while you're off your feet??

Oh no!!! That sucks!!!

The shawl is beautiful, though - I love that about knitting - it's something comforting to do when we're down..

I had a similar thing happen to me on the first day of spring this year (broken ankle and a walking cast like yours). However, I wasn't able to get nearly as much knitting done (despite previous fantasies about having some minor injury that left me sitting around knitting for weeks). There was something called a thesis instead. So... enjoy!
